How to Find a Skilled Functional Practitioner Who ‘Gets It’!

If you ever felt like it was impossible to find a ‘skilled practitioner’ that can actually help you, this could be the most important page you ever read…

Dear Friend,

Of course, you want to stop being sick.

But you’re confused, afraid, and not sure who to turn to for one-on-one help. You don’t want to be sick anymore, you’d rather have energy and a dependable stomach…

But if we’re being honest: finding a skilled practitioner to help you can be like finding a needle in a haystack.

Trust me, I’ve fired many practitioners along the way until I found some that could actually help me.

The first step is to understand what you’re up against…

Here Are Four Strategies That Never Work (And You Should Watch Out For)!

Which these strategies have you run into with practitioners before?

1. Relying on a special diet alone to fix your problems. “I’m strict with my diet. I want to do this naturally. Food is the only medicine I need.” Diet will always help and it is absolutely your foundation to health… but it’s never the end all – be all. Taking this approach by itself almost never works because there’s so many other root causes that contribute to chronic illness along with food. Be on the lookout for practitioners who are only focused on your diet…

2. The second strategy is searching for the magic supplement.    Supplements are a “supplement” for a reason. They support the whole of a treatment plan. They plug holes and deficiencies to reinforce what we’re already doing. They aren’t going to fix anything all by themselves. Beware of practitioners who ONLY put you on TONS of supplements…

3. The third strategy is long-shot alternative treatments, things like coffee enemas, liver cleanses, colonics, and juicing. That stuff never works by itself and in some cases, they can be dangerous to do without the right person that knows what you’re doing. Activate your ‘red alert’ system around practitioners who rely heavily on these strategies…

4. Treatment by symptoms. We become addicted to chasing our symptoms. I hear things like this all time: “I have symptoms of Candida so I’m switching to the anti-candida diet and doing a 30-day cleanse.” But the truth is: you have no idea what you have without proper testing.

Symptoms are hard to ignore… feeling tired, not sleeping, digestive problems, poop problems, pain, etc. Those are the things we want to go away. But they aren’t necessarily related to the root cause of your problems.

The worst thing we see is when Practitioners treat by symptoms and don’t look at the whole body as a complex system. It’s so frustrating for us to hear stories of people that have been working with someone for years, chasing symptoms, and not getting any better.

Worse yet, many times in these situations they aren’t using proper testing from a reliable lab company to make sound decisions about your health.

Instead of focusing on what to look out for, here are…

Three Signs a Practitioner Can Help Turn The Tide In Your Favor…

When you’re trying to recover your health, there’s a lot going on inside your body…

How do you find someone who can help?

What questions should you ask?

Are there things you should be looking for in a good practitioner?

Here are three signs to help you identify a skilled functional practitioner who might be able to to help:

1. They test the three body systems

A Functional Medicine approach to chronic illness involving testing, at a minimum, the three main body systems:

  • Your hormonal system produces your sex and stress hormones.
  • Your digestive system breaks down food for use by the body.
  • And your detoxification system protects you from free radicals and chemical toxicity, both from your environment and from your diet.

Through targeted lab testing you can do in the privacy of your own home for each of these systems, a skilled practitioner can help you assess how each system is working and what areas need to be corrected to rebalance your body.

Not only that, but they will also be looking at advanced autoimmune panels, stool test, and blood serum testing to check for deeper root cause problems that are common in those of us with complex health problems.

2. They fix the area that is your ‘limiting factor’

There is always one area of the body that is your ‘limiting factor’ and needs to be corrected first.

For example, if you went through an extremely stressful period of your life, like the death of a spouse or child, and your illness was triggered within 6 -24 months of that… your hormonal system could be crashed and keeping you stuck.

Like in 2005 after my Mom died of Cancer I started suffering from diarrhea 10X a day. A few years later, Doctors finally figured out I had Celiac Disease. I couldn’t believe how fast my health fell apart. It can happen to anyone like that.

And it can even be a slow burn out, where you hardly notice how bad you feel until one day you wake up and realize, “Hey, this isn’t right!”

Say you’re dealing with Ulcerative Colitis in your GI Tract, but your hormonal system crashed after an ugly divorce and custody battle. If you want to get rid of the digestive problems, a skilled practitioner can help you address the hormone problems that are holding you back from healing your gut. If you don’t support the hormonal system, it’s likely your digestive system will never completely heal, no matter what you do.

Great practitioners know how to find the limiting factors that are holding you back at each level of health you are seeking.

3. They understand what it’s like to be sick (and got better)

This is the most important thing you can do to get better. A skilled practitioner, preferably one trained in Functional medicine sure, but some of the best practitioners we know were people who were sick as hell just like us and they understand what it’s like to crawl back from the brink of death.

From that place, they understand there are several ingredients to getting better such as: diet, supplements, and lifestyle changes.

They can also answer questions like: which one of your body systems are crashed? Do you have Adrenal fatigue? Parasites? Detox problems?

All these things need to be understood before you recover from chronic illness plagued with inflammation, leaky gut, and gut dysbiosis.

And only a skilled guide knows the right tests and therapeutic program to restore your three body systems. And I can’t caution you enough, ordering the WRONG tests is not only expensive, but a false test result can send your treatment plan on a wild goose chase and make you want to give up.

Hopefully you haven’t already spent years using misleading test results like some people in this community.

Does it work? Does it work? Does it work?

If you’re reading this right now, you’re probably not feeling as good as you could.

And you’re most likely frustrated trying to find a ‘skilled practitioner’ that can meet the three signs we just showed you.

When you’ve already spent years being sick and not getting the help you need, and many of us have been there – it can make you just want to completely give up.

That’s why we’ve created this practitioner resource page for you… so you can finally get the help you’ve been looking for from practitioners who ‘get it’:

Get Help From a Skilled Functional Practitioner Today

Here’s what we know after helping people over the last 7 years:

Skilled Functional Practitioners seem impossible to find.

And when you find them, word spreads fast, and they get so booked up, their waiting list is months out. These type people are just flat out RARE!

I’m talking about people who are skilled in Functional Medicine with years of experience… but also have overcome chronic illness themselves. Even better? People who have trained with Dr. Kalish and have years of experience using his protocols.

One of the hardest things for us was to tell someone to “find a skilled practitioner” when they are desperate for someone to help them get better. We honestly didn’t know that many skilled people who will listen to them, know what tests to order and use time tested protocols. And understand what it’s like to see a toilet full of blood and scared to leave the house.

And the absolute worst case is when someone emails us after spending $1,000’s of dollars on worthless tests and supplements… or even $20,000 at a special Clinic and didn’t get better.

So now we’ve gone out and built relationships with those people for you.

These are practitioners that have been sick and know what it’s like. They also appreciate our approach and they’ve also trained with our friend Dr. Kalish, who’s one of the best Functional Medicine Practitioners we know… and his protocols have been working for over 8,000 patients in the last 20-years.

Consulting with the Functional Practitioners on this page can help you get the testing and protocols you need, but also support you in the diet, supplement, and lifestyle changes that your body is asking you for.

One the best things people say is how nice it is to work with people who’ve dealt with ‘mysterious’ and chronic illness. People who’ve trained with experts who work with these complex problems on a daily basis and give them the straight truth about what needs to happen.

We’d love to have you work 1-on-1 with these Functional Practitioners…

Especially if you want help to…

  • Get the RIGHT testing from reliable lab companies
  • Work with someone who’s dealt with chronic illness themselves
  • Discover some of the root cause problems that are keeping you sick
  • Troubleshoot common problems like adrenal fatigue, GI infections, and liver toxicity
  • Look at your body holistically, instead of just treating the symptoms
  • Customize your diet based on YOUR body
  • And more…

Now, we have to be clear with you – we are not Doctors and we don’t want to be. We are not licensed to give medical advice and that’s NOT what we’re doing.

Instead, we have gone out and built relationships with skilled Functional Practitioners to work with you so you CAN get the 1-on-1 help you need from someone who’s been trained to give it… but also who understands how we approach things and has been sick themselves.

It gives these practitioners an edge. An edge that will help you. Their lack of traditional dogma allows them to be open to seeking out the people that are getting results and train with them.

Now, you must take the next step.

If you’re ready to work with a Skilled Functional Practitioner 1-on-1, someone who ‘gets it’… it starts with a 1-hour case review that includes a full case history.

During this hour they’ll ask in-depth questions to trace back the origins of your problems and see which action steps can start making changes in your situation…

You can book your first 1-hour case review now and immediately after signing up, you’ll schedule your appointment and start filling out the intake paperwork with them.

P.S. – Full transparency can be a rare thing when it comes to health websites. We are incredibly grateful to have you as a part of this community and are committed to always being 100% transparent with you. So there’s an important thing for you to know about our new relationship with these practitioners:

They are NOT a part of our website or our company.

While we’d hire them in a heartbeat to help our loved ones with their health. We’ve talked with them personally, we trust them, we’ve talked with many of their clients who’ve gotten great results. We need to be clear that they have their own businesses and views.

We’ve established a different type of relationship to make sure we can still direct you towards people that can support you 1-on-1. We are, in fact, compensated for their placement on this page, but ONLY AFTER we’ve gotten to know them for months and actually seen them directly help people from our community. This page is not for just any practitioner with a checkbook… it’s invite only, an exclusive resource we’ve created for you, our community, after years of struggling to find good practitioners to recommend for you.

Choosing a health-care professional is a personal decision. Our introduction of these practitioners should not be construed as an express or implied endorsement of them and you should approach your selection of a practitioner with care. We, of course, are not and cannot be responsible for your experience with these independent practitioners, their advice, treatment or approach.
