After several elimination diets, I have progressively become sensitive to nearly all foods I have tried, including nearly all meats. Do you think I could recover from food sensitivities while eating foods I’m intolerant to, following the stages of the diet? Thank you for your time.

Hi Louise, thanks for reaching out. Many candidia diets want you to avoid foods high in yeast such as breads and fermented foods. It would be a great idea for you to look at this video on candida diets by Steve: https://healthygut.com/3-anti-candida-diet-problems/

I recently had the E95 Food Panel Lab test done at great expense and it provided limited insight. As you say I think it’s better to listen to your body and how it reacts.

The only really significant result was a very high level of Candida and it stated to ‘avoid’ it. Upon reflection, this ties in with having quite regular yeast infections which i’ve treated with over the counter medication in the past. I’m like to treat it myself if that’s possible.

A couple of questions:

I’m a little bit confused with how to avoid ‘eating’ Candida. As I understand it, it is a yeast fed by certain foods like carbohydrates, sugar etc but does it also take it’s own form within foods? (which I should avoid)

I’m starting the SCD Intro tomorrow to try and combat my Ulcerative Proctitis. Most of the ‘Illegal’ foods are those which apparently feed the Candida which i’ll obviously avoid. Do you think it’s necessary to also cut out fruit or would the SCD diet be sufficient?

BLVC doesn’t say when to start introducing yoghurt, any thoughts?

Thanks very much for any advice! I’ve spent so much money seeing a Natrupath and seen very little benefit. I just learnt of this diet and it seems like the only concrete explanation that makes sense.

Thanks for the great site too. 🙂
